An electric supply company is a company that supplies or distributes electricity to the particular assigned areas working under the Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO).

These electric supply companies purchase electricity from IPPs, PEPCO, and WAPDA and then sell it to the customers in their respective allotted areas or towns.

Multan Electric Supply Company (MEPCO) is the largest electric distributing company in Pakistan. It covers about 50 constituencies of the National Assembly and 104 constituencies of the Punjab Assembly.

K-Electric is the only private electric supply company in Pakistan. It provides electricity to all districts and areas of Karachi City.

Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO)

HESCO supplies electricity to all Sindh province areas except Karachi, Ghotki, Sukkur, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Larkana, Dadu, Kamber, Naushero Feroze and Shaheed Benaziranabad.

HESCO is owned and operated by WAPDA. It is also granted a license by the National Electric Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).

Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO)

LESCO works under the organization of WAPDA. It supplies electricity to Lahore, Okara, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Kasur districts.

LESCO offers 9 types of different connections, which are: domestic, commercial, industrial, agriculture, tube-well, temporary, general services, residential colonies, and street lights.

For a new connection, one can apply online or can visit the area office physically. It also gives the facility to print online electricity bills.

Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO)

IESCO was formed in 1998 to replace the Islamabad Area Electricity Board that was a division of WAPDA.

Islamabad Electric Supply Company( IESCO) supplies electricity to Islamabad Capital Territory, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Attock, and Jehlum.

IESCO supplies electricity to some 2.8 consumers. In short, it is directly connected with the lives of some 25 million people in 6 districts.

Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO)

MEPCO is an electricity distribution company that supplies to some 13 districts of south Punjab, Pakistan.

MEPCO is the largest electric distribution company in Pakistan. It was established in 1998 to supply the electricity in the districts of south Punjab.

The areas of operations of MEPCO are Multan, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Vehari, and Bahawalnagar districts of Punjab.

In short, it operates in 50 constituencies of the National Assembly and 104 constituencies of the Punjab Assembly.

Gujranwala Electric Supply Company ( GEPCO)

Gujranwala Electric Supply Company (GEPCO) is an electricity distribution company that supplies electricity to the Gujranwala region in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

The areas of operations of GEPCO are the Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, and Mandi Bahauddin districts of Punjab.

It was founded in 1998 under the administrative control of PEPCO. Muhammad Amin Chaudhary is the current Chief Executive Officer of GEPCO.

Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO)

FESCO supplies electricity to about 4.50 million customers under a distribution License granted by National Electric Regulatory Authority (NEPRA). It serves about the territory of 25 million population.

The areas of service of FESCO are the districts of Faisalabad, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Jhang, Bhakkar, and Toba Tek Singh.

Sukkur Electric Supply Company (SEPCO)

SEPCO provides electricity distribution services in Sukkur, Ghotki, Kashmore/Kandhkot, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Larkana, Kambar/Shahdatkot, Dadu, and some portions of Jamshoro, Naushehro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Rahim Yar Khan.

SEPCO has been formed by bifurcating HESCO (Hyderabad Electric Supply Company) to facilitate the consumers and the distribution company in the region.

Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO)

Peshawar electric supply company (PESCO) offers electricity distribution services in all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

PESCO was founded in 1998 after the re-organization of the Peshawar Area Electricity Board by Pakistan’s government.

It provides services to about some 2.6 consumers in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

Engineer Muhammad Jabbar Khan is the present Chief Executive Officer of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO).

Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO)

Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) has the responsibility to supply the electricity in all districts of the Balochistan province of Pakistan.

In other words, QESCO supplies electricity to 43% area of Pakistan, which is made by all districts of Balochistan.

QESCO works under the leadership of PEPCO. It was established in 1998 after the bifurcation of WAPDA.

K-Electric

K-Electric is a private power distribution company in Pakistan that supplies electricity to all the areas of the Karachi.

It is the first private electric company in Pakistan that manages the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity in Karachi city.

K-Electric supplies electricity to about 22 million people in the megacity Karachi. It has more than 2.5 million customers and about 10,000 employees.
